Recreational Center Vision

The vision for the Recreational Center is to create a large, welcoming place on over 5 acres of land where people with special needs can enjoy many outdoor activities. This space will help them have fun and stay active. A key feature of the center will be a big metal building that measures 40 feet by 60 feet. This building will be insulated and heated so that people can use it comfortably all year round, no matter the weather. Inside this building, The Whitney Foundation plans to include an enclosed pool. The pool will be 4 foot deep and have an easy entry into the water. This will make it possible for everyone to swim and enjoy the water throughout the entire year, providing a safe and relaxing environment. Overall, this Recreational Center aims to be a wonderful place for individuals with special needs to participate in a variety of recreational activities.

The new recreational center will be a fun place for everyone, offering both indoor and outdoor activities. In addition to exciting indoor programs, there will be outdoor activities like four-wheeling, where people can enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery. One special idea for the center is to build a small house on the property. This house would allow group homes and families with special needs individuals to stay and use the facilities comfortably.
